Echo Hill Camp on the Chesapeake Bay, is a sleep-away summer camp for children ages 7-16. Accredited by the American Camping Association, the camp has been family-owned and operated for three generations. The camp is dedicated to helping children have a happy, exciting, and meaningful experience while they build self-confidence and gain respect for themselves and others in a safe and nurturing environment.

2, 4, 6, and 8 week sessions for children ages 7-16

Echo Hill Camp's unique free choice program offers an array of non-competitive activities where counselors foster a dynamic, inclusive environment that empowers campers to challenge themselves, explore confidently, and grow at their own pace. Waterfront adventures invite campers to sail, waterski, wakeboard, kneeboard, tube, fish, swim, crab, and kayak. Land-based challenges include an exhilarating ropes course, archery, and spirited landsports like ultimate frisbee, gaga, badminton, and soccer. Creative expression blossoms through music, drama, and arts & crafts. Unique experiences like swamp muck explorations and nature programs like scanoeing through the swamp and berry picking on miles of hiking trails that connect campers with the environment that creates a deep appreciation for the natural world. The imagination and creativity of the children and staff are the only limits to the variety of the program.

Nestled on a long sandy beach of the Chesapeake Bay, Echo Hill Camp offers a timeless outdoor experience that embraces rustic living—campers stay in platform tents, shower under the open sky, enjoy home-cooked meals served family-style, and watch stunning sunsets over the Bay. Without the distractions of screens, campers have the chance to connect with others, develop social skills, and rediscover the simple pleasures of childhood.

At the heart of Echo Hill is their dedicated team of counselors—experienced professionals who return year after year, creating a consistent, passionate presence. With a small camper population and a high counselor-to-camper ratio, the camp fosters a family-like atmosphere. Campers and staff are drawn back by a strong sense of tradition, community, and belonging. For many, time at camp is the highlight of the year, where lifelong friendships are formed and cherished memories are made.

A place to pause peacefully and happily in the midst of a changing world, Echo Hill Camp has always been a magical summer place where children's lives are enriched through the friendships they form and the experiences they have at camp.
